Confused.com has announced it will partner with online used-car dealership Motors.co.uk.

The partnership aims to make it easier for people to compare the best used-car buying and selling options, with direct purchase and sale available via Motors.co.uk, and ownership and running cost data provided by Confused.com.

The partnership is the fourth in 12 months for Motors.co.uk, following previous network deals with the Carsite network, Preloved, Sun Motors and Sunday Times Driving.

“We know that buying a car is a major life purchase, second only to buying a house, so we want to make sure people have all the information they need to make the best choice possible,” said Martin Coriat, chief executive of Confused.com.

“We’re committed to helping people find the best deal on their insurance and the car they’re looking to purchase, or sell. Our ethos is to save people time and money, and we think this new platform will do just that.”

The partnership has been welcomed by industry figures. Ian Godbold of car dealer Cambria said “it is clear the strategy will help people sell more cars.”
