Holidaymakers planning their summer getaway may be able to bag a better rate on their currency with Asda Money’s rate sale.

The pound has been weathered by Brexit and last week’s General Election result, meaning it’s more expensive for Brits to go abroad as the pound buys less foreign currency, such as the euro and dollar.

But from 8am tomorrow (Friday 16 June), Asda Money will run a currency sale until 8am on Tuesday 20 June.

It will offer deals on all currencies, including to some of the most popular holiday destinations:

  • Euro
  • US dollar
  • Turkish lira
  • Croatian kuna
  • Mexican peso

Customers can order their travel currency online or over the phone and can pick it up from their local Travel Money bureau for free.

For those ordering over £500, Asda will deliver the holiday money for free. Delivery for orders under this amount costs £3.95.

Once the sale launches, compare Asda’s offering with other foreign exchange bureaux, and factor in all fees to make sure you get an all-in price. See YourMoney.com’s guide on other ways to bag the best deal on foreign currency.
