Norwich Union, one of the UK’s larger insurance companies, has broadened out the trial for its “pay-as-you-drive” insurance scheme, taking Intec Telecom Systems on board to provide itemised monthly bills.

The insurer plans to roll out its pay-as-you-drive scheme to about 100,000 users by the end of 2006, after conducting trials involving around 5,000 UK motorists and 1,500 younger drivers over the past 18 months.
