MAGIC OF THE MOVIES 

Harry Potter has become the biggest box office film series (£2.2bn) in the history of cinema, beating Star Wars (£2bn) and James Bond (£2.19bn). The latest film – The Order of the Phoenix – has itself taken more than £454m. There are still two films to come before the sequence ends.

LLOYDS TSB WINS APPROVAL

Lloyds TSB’s decision to cut its overdraft fees has won plaudits from price comparison website uSwitch. Mike Naylor, personal finance expert at the firm, said: “This is a bold move by Lloyds TSB and these ‘improvements’ are positive for some of their customers. To see providers reducing bank charges… is music to our ears. it’s a move we’d like to see all current account providers follow.”
