Revealed: the best and worst travel companies in the UK

Trailfinders has topped the list of the best UK travel companies, according to a Which? survey.

The company came first out of more than 40 travel providers, with a customer satisfaction score of 92%.

The Which? annual survey of the best and worst holiday companies in the UK looked at customer service at booking, ease of booking, journey, accommodation, the tours, if description matches the reality, and value for money.

Inntravel came second in the league table with a customer score of 89%. In joint third place was Archers Holidays (88%), Exodus (88%) and Princess Cruises (88%).

Thomas Cook came bottom of the table, achieving just two stars for the journey to and from the destination and its tours, and an overall customer score of 60%.

Princess Cruises was the top-rated cruise company, with a customer score of 88% and five stars for accommodation. By contrast, P&O Cruises scored 76%, but only three stars for accommodation.

Olympic holidays (62%), Newmarket holidays (62%), Lowcostholidays.com (64%) and First Choice (65%) all came near the bottom of the table.
