NatWest scoops ’20 years of excellence award’ at Awards

NatWest has been named best provider of the last two decades at the 20th annual Awards last night.

The bank took home the ’20 years of excellence’ award after winning an impressive 51 trophies since the awards scheme started in 1997.

NatWest also scooped Best Direct Savings Account Provider and Best Direct Cash ISA Provider for 2017.

Sarah Mayall, head of personal banking & digital marketing, brand & marketing, NatWest, said: “We’re thrilled to be recognised with the 20 Years of Excellence award in your anniversary year. This year’s titles for Best Direct Savings Account Provider and Best Direct ISA Provider make it 51 awards for NatWest since the Your awards began, and we are extremely proud of this achievement. From me and all my colleagues – thank you very much.”

Post Office Money achieved this year’s Best Overall Online Provider trophy.

It was also named Best Direct Life Insurance Provider, Best Direct Car Insurance Provider, Best Online Car Insurance Provider and Best Online Home & Contents Insurance Provider.

The title of Best Overall Direct Provider for 2017 went to TSB, which bagged four awards in total, including Best Direct Current Account Provider and Best Direct Student Banking Provider.

The Awards are the longest-standing consumer finance awards in the UK.

They are split into two categories: Best Direct for those products and services offered by phone, and Best Online for those provided electronically.

All entrants are subjected to a rigorous judging process based on competitiveness of price and structure. Shortlisted firms are then judged by a panel of readers who mystery shop each company and benchmark the quality of service provided in each product area. editor, Joanna Faith, said: “The winners of this year’s awards should be incredibly proud of their achievements as they have shown they really are the best in their sector. But a special congratulation must go to NatWest for taking home our ’20 years of excellence award’. Winning 51 awards in the last two decades is a truly impressive feat.”

    Who did they bribe, they are worse than the Cosa Nostra, surely this is a bank with some heavy fines for being criminals and still owned by the UK public. Worst bank I have ever had to deal with, yet their internet banking is so weak anybody can get free money
