Following a rigorous judging process, Post Office bagged the top spot in the following categories:  Best Online Life Insurance Provider, Best Online Travel Insurance Provider, Best Online Car Insurance Provider and Best Direct Home and Contents Insurance Provider.

The firm also took home the award for Best Overall Online Provider.

Owen Woodley, chief executive of financial services and telecoms at the Post Office said:

“We’re delighted to have received these five awards – we take great pride in offering products and services that are a vital part of customers’ everyday lives, whether they’re saving up for their next step in life; buying a home of their own; or purchasing home, car or travel insurance to protect what matters.”

Other big winners on the night included Hargreaves Lansdown who won four awards, and NatWest, with three.

Now in their 22^nd year, the YourMoney.com Awards are the longest standing awards in the personal finance industry.

All entrants are judged on competitiveness of price and structure. Short-listed firms are then judged by a panel of readers who mystery shop each company and benchmark the quality of service provided in each product area.
