Silver and Platinum account holders heading abroad for their holidays can make purchases with no charge included from 1 July 2024.
Handy for when you’re travelling, the two packaged accounts offer travel insurance plus family breakdown cover with roadside assistance from AA.
The two options also come with the offer of mobile phone insurance plus a range of ‘lifestyle benefits’, which includes a 12-month subscription to Disney+.
While no fees are added to your transactions overseas, there are costs that come with each account.
From 1 July, you’ll need to pay £11.50 per month for the Silver version, while the Platinum offer will set you back £22.50. Both of those accounts will see an increase in monthly cost of £1.50.

However, the perk of spending abroad without an added cost is not included with the provider’s Club Lloyds Account.
The move coincides with a new switch offer from the bank, where new customers can bag £175 in cash for opening either a Club, Silver or Platinum Account.
That bonus will be added to your account within three days of the switch being complete.
Both new and some existing customers can take advantage of the deal when completing the move via the Current Account Switch Service (CASS).
This ensures all your direct debits and standing orders are moved across, while your existing account is automatically closed.

Helen Bierton, director at Lloyds Bank, said: ”We’re giving our customers one less thing to think about when they’re travelling by introducing free unlimited worldwide debit card usage with our range of bank accounts that come with additional benefits.
“No more transferring money between different accounts or using multiple cards – customers can simply keep using their debit card as normal when they’re overseas, whether that’s buying holiday treats or withdrawing cash.”
She added: “It’s a great addition to the benefits already offered with these accounts, including European or worldwide family travel insurance.”
