Jet2 and Jet2holidays are suspending all flights and holidays to Crete, Rhodes and Cyprus until early 2021.

A statement on the Jet2Tweets Twitter account said: “Due to the latest government travel advice, we have taken the decision to suspend flights and holidays to Greece (Crete and Rhodes) and Cyprus (Larnaca and Paphos). We are planning to restart our flights and holiday programmes to Greece from 30 March 2021 and Cyprus from 13 February 2021.

“Where customers yet to travel are affected by any programme changes, we have been repeatedly recognised for how we have been looking after them, and we will be automatically cancelling bookings with a full refund.

For customers in resort, we are operating a programme of inbound flights up to and” including 8 November. We will contact customers who are currently in resort to advise them of their options regarding flying back to the UK.”

The past seven months have seen ever-changing travel restrictions and quarantine rules, both in the UK and abroad.

Cyprus was recently removed from the government’s safe travel list, meaning any Brits returning from a holiday on the island will need to quarantine for 14 days.

However, all holidays abroad are banned during the second lockdown in England which starts tomorrow.

Rival travel firm Tui has cancelled all flights and holidays from England and Wales during the lockdown period which is due to end on 2 December – but could be extended.

However, Ryanair has said it won’t be cancelling flights or offering refunds during the lockdown period.
