With a number of investment platforms all vying for your attention, it can be difficult to navigate and find one that’s appropriate for you. Here are the essentials you need to consider.

When it comes to investing, everyone has different needs and so the starting points to consider include what you want to invest in, the customer service offering and ultimately cost.

Charges vary significantly between the platforms and just this week, the regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, said it was concerned investors may find it hard to understand fees.
