Niomi Boontam from Bournemouth won the enviable prize worth £530,000 in total after entering House Raffle’s competition.

The property raffle firm launched the competition in February where it guaranteed one lucky person would win a £500k newly renovated two-bed flat in East London, after facing criticism for handing out cash prizes with previous competitions if they didn’t sell enough tickets to cover the value of the home.

Boontam, an insurance consultant who rents with her partner, said: “I never thought I’d actually win. This morning I was shaking, my hands were shaking and I was thinking, this is not real, but I checked on RaffleHouse.com and started reading it all and…oh my goodness! It’s amazing.

“I live with my other half and we’re renting and it’s a lovely location but we don’t own it. I don’t have the words to describe this.

“This has just made lockdown worthwhile. Thank you so much!”

Raffle House is also covering legal fees and there’s no stamp duty to pay.

The next property Raffle House is offering is a £750,000 two-bed house in South East London. Tickets to the draw cost £2 each and there’s also a free entry postal route available to all participants. The competition closes on 30 November 2020.
