Halifax will select 10 winners in January who will have their mortgages paid off while 150 customers will also receive a £1,000 cash prize.

The Halifax mortgage prize superdraw in the New Year will see 10 winners have their mortgages paid off, up to a value of £300,000.

To be in with a chance of winning, customers need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Register online or on mobile banking to take part and select ‘My Mortgage Options’ via computer/laptop, or select ‘Our products and services’ under the ‘mortgages’ tab via mobile, or click ‘apply’ via the banking app.
  2. Have a Halifax mortgage on your home in England, Wales or Scotland
  3. Hold an existing Halifax or Bank of Scotland personal retail current account and have paid at least £1,500 into it the month before the draw

You won’t be eligible if your property is or will be let to tenants; if the mortgage is part of the Deedstore Scheme; or if the mortgage is in arrears (when a total sum of £1 or more of the monthly payment(s) due remain unpaid at the time of the draw).

The Halifax mortgage prize draw has run every month since May 2020 with one winner having their mortgage paid off. It also gives 100 customers a cash prize of £1,000 but as part of the January draw, 150 customers will be selected for the cash prize.

Russell Galley, managing director, Halifax, said: “We’re constantly looking at more ways in which we can reward our customers who rely on us at some of the biggest moments in their lives like buying a home – often the biggest financial commitment people will make.

“We know that winter can be a particularly expensive time, and this year – more than ever – winning this prize could be truly life-changing. We’re proud to be able to give 10 winners this kind of boost at the start of 2021.”
