The banks just last month launched their highest ever current account switch incentives for new and existing customers. The deals were due to run into April.

However, a spokesperson confirmed: “During this difficult time we are focusing all our efforts on doing as much as we can to help our existing customers. We are therefore withdrawing our current switcher offer with immediate effect.”

The current account rewards and cashback schemes currently remain unchanged.
