E.ON Next has launched an updated package of tariffs as the energy market starts to return to normal.

The energy supplier said it aimed to offer “greater choice and individual options that reflect customer needs and low carbon ambitions”.

Energy prices are still significantly higher than before the energy crisis, but they have started to come down with the energy price cap now standing at £2,074.

E.ON Next said it is now offering “competitive” fixed rate products for both new and existing customers.

The new tariffs

  • Next 1 year v22 – a 12-month fix for existing customers, priced at £2,060 at current Ofgem average consumption. Exit fees of £75 per fuel apply.
  • Next Online v23 – a 12-month fix available new and existing customers priced at £2,074 at current Ofgem average consumption. Exit fees of £75 per fuel apply.
  • Next Drive – a 12-month fix for electric car drivers with cheaper electricity at 9.5p per kWh for charging between midnight and 7am. Customers need a smart meter that can send half hourly updates. No exit fees apply.
  • Next Export Exclusive – for those with solar panels, E.ON Next offers a rate of 16.5p per kWh for exported electricity available to existing customers as well as those with an E.ON solar installation.

‘Energy market returning to normal’

Ramona Vlasiu, chief operating officer at E.ON Next, said: “We’re all too aware of the impact of the energy crisis in recent years, both on the amount we all have to pay and the reduced choice in finding a tariff that reflects how we live our lives. At E.ON Next, we’re all about helping customers to get more out of their energy, whether it’s a fixed tariff to provide peace of mind that prices won’t change ahead of winter, a cheaper charging offer for electric car drivers or one of the best returns on solar generation.

“A greater variety of tariffs is hopefully a clearer sign that the energy market is returning to normal and we are able to help customers with a more personal response to their energy needs which can inspire them to take their own next steps in having a more sustainable home – moving away from fossil fuels and taking an active part in a smarter and cleaner energy system.”

E.ON Next is not the only supplier bringing back fixed tariffs. Others are available from suppliers including Ovo Energy, British Gas, and So Energy.
