Morrisons’ More card currently allows customers to accumulate points which are then turned into vouchers which can be spent in store.

But Morrisons is axing the points system from 10 May. It said its customers “prefer to be rewarded with money off offers and instant rewards, instead of building up points”.

So, it’s removing points and moving to a money off and instant rewards-based programme delivered through the More App and website.

Until the 9 May everything remains the same. Shoppers will continue to earn points and redeem £5 vouchers.

From 10 May Morrisons More points will no longer be applied to in-store, online, Morrisons café, giftcard or fuel spend.

However, shoppers can continue to use their Morrisons More card to receive digital coupons with money off future shops, special offers, and information about store events and offers.

Any points on your account when the scheme ends on the 10 May 2021 will remain valid until 9 August 2021.

Between now and 9 August 2021 you will need to do the following:

• If you currently choose to save your £5 vouchers, from 10 May you will need to request your £5 voucher(s) via the app/online account. Any remaining points will be void. For example, if you have a balance of 6,500 points you can redeem 5,000 points but the remaining 1,500 points will be void.
• If you have your £5 vouchers set to automatically print in store you do not need to do anything. If you are due a £5 voucher this will print automatically when you next present your More Card. Any points below the value of 5000 will be void.

If you have printed your £5 vouchers these will be valid for 56 weeks from the date they printed and can be used as before at the till.

If you save your vouchers you will need to log into your app / online account and request your vouchers to use in store or online. Vouchers will be valid for 56 weeks from requested / printed date.

Morrisons said it is currently reviewing the name of the More card scheme and plans to update it.
