Tesco and Wolseley are just two of the many companies scheduled to update the markets this week.

Tuesday 3 June

B.P. Marsh & Partners – annual results

B.P. Marsh & Partners, a specialist private equity investor, will deliver its annual results for the year to 31 January 2014.

Wolseley – third quarter results

Wolseley is scheduled to report on the third quarter of its financial year on Tuesday. The market is expecting dividends to grow by 20 per cent this year, driven by underlying earnings growth and a one-off upward ‘rebasing’. Investors will be keen to hear more about the outlook for the company’s US business, which accounts for the majority of its profits and may have been hit by poor weather.

WYG – final results

WYG, a global programme, project management and technical consultancy, will deliver final results.

Pennon – full-year results

Pennon, which owns water company South West Water and waste business Viridor, is expected to increase dividends by seven per cent when it delivers its annual results on Tuesday. The company’s last update in February was positive and the share price indicates that investors are confident that it remains well positioned. Pay attention to any news about Viridor, which is guiding for profit to be flat this year, and the progress of a pipeline project.

Wednesday 4 June

Tesco – first quarter results

The last investors heard of Tesco were a set of weak full-year results, and market expectations are for an unchanged dividend. Broadly flat sales, a lower operating margin and reduced interest charge will be the drivers. Attention will focus on like-for-like sales performance and any outlook comments. The share price indicates that investors see challenging times ahead.

Shawbrook Bank – full-year results

Shawbrook Bank will deliver full-year results on Wednesday.

Thursday 5 June

Johnson Matthey – fourth quarter results

The Johnson Matthey stock price has been trending sideways this year, which suggests caution regarding these results. Management are confident about the group’s medium and long term outlook as far as the precious metal products division is concerned, despite headwinds.

Wincanton – preliminary results

Wincanton, the provider of logistics with an origin in milk haulage, will update the market on Wednesday.

Friday 6 June

Fuller Smith & Turner – preliminary results

Brewer and pub operator Fuller Smith & Turner will deliver preliminary results on Friday.

Kcom Group – final results

Kcom, the communications and IT services provider, will also update the markets on Friday.
