VouchedFor.co.uk, the consumer ratings site for independent financial advisers, is offering members of the public a free financial health check with a local rated IFA.

The 30 minute consultation will offer unrestricted and unbiased advice on subjects including: retirement, mortgages, saving for your children or getting the best out of savings and investments.

The initiative marks the beginning of Financial Planning Week, which is organised by the Institute of Financial Planning and runs from 24 November-1 December.

Adam Price, founder of VouchedFor.co.uk, said: “If you don’t have a financial plan taking advantage of VouchedFor’s free financial health check and speaking to a rated independent financial expert is a great place to start. After all, effective money management should enable you to achieve your financial goals earlier be that retirement, planning an extension or going on a dream holiday.”

Consumers can book their free health check from today until 1 December by visiting: vouchedfor.co.uk/health-check
