Andy Parsons, head of investment research and advisory services at The Share Centre, talks about the CF Miton UK Value Opportunities Fund

“The managers of the CF Miton UK Value Opportunities fund can certainly be placed in the bracket of rising stars. Launched back in 2013, and with assets under management progressively growing, it won’t be long before George Godber and Georgina Hamilton start to appear on investors’ radar.

“With the fund’s investment objective being to achieve long-term capital growth, this fund will mainly invest in UK companies which the fund managers consider to be undervalued by the market.  Given the fund’s short investment history, Godber and Hamilton have already demonstrated a remarkable stock-picking ability and we believe they will continue in the same vein.

“We believe that this is one of the few funds that strive to adopt a deep value investment strategy. The managers seek to identify companies that have good cash flow and strong balance sheets from across the market cap spectrum, although the majority of underlying investments will often come from mid-to-small-cap companies. We recommend this fund for investors seeking rewarding growth opportunities, predominantly through UK exposure.”
