A savvy Tesco shopper has saved a staggering £134 on yoghurt after a price glitch allowed him to buy 22 multi-packs for just £8.79.

The hitch meant customers could buy one and get three free on multipacks of Oykos yoghurts and 500g packs of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.

A number of HotUKDeals members spotted the price glitch last night and have taken full advantage of the bargain, both in stores and online.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Unfortunately this is an IT error that is currently being corrected. Once fixed, customers will still benefit from the buy one get one free offer, as advertised.”

This is not the first time consumers have taken advantage of a technical glitch. Last year hundreds of Tesco shoppers spotted a loophole which meant they could get £60 for just £9.
