Shoppers can get chicken dippers, Kitkats and bacon for just a penny – but you’ll need to act quickly.

The budget supermarket has brought back its 1p online sale for 10 days to help support customers through the cost-of-living crisis.

Iceland’s Holiday 1p Helpers promotion runs from today until 11 August, with shoppers needing the Iceland Bonus Card app to benefit.

How does Holiday 1p Helpers work?

Shoppers who have an Iceland Bonus card and are signed up to the app will be able to get certain items for 1p.

Each day one selected item will be priced at 1p and stay at this price for 24 hours, before going back to its normal price. It will then be replaced by another item the following day that customers will be able to pick up for 1p.

Each day, a code will be available for shoppers to redeem at the checkout on the Iceland Bonus card app.

But you’ll only be able to use one code per transaction and it can only be used when you shop online. Unless you spend more than £40 in one transaction, you’ll need to pay for delivery – the minimum order value for online orders is £25 and it costs £3 for orders between £25 and £40 to be delivered.

The first three items in the promotion are:

  • Wednesday 2 August: Iceland 50pk Crispy Chicken Dippers (Usually £3.75)
  • Thursday 3 August: Nestle 14pk KitKat (Usually £2.50)
  • Friday 4 August: Iceland 10p Smoked Back Bacon (Usually £2.30)

Iceland shoppers should keep an eye on the Bonus Card app and Iceland’s social media channels to see which other products will be reduced.

Richard Walker, executive chairman at Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse said: “We know how tough it can be to feed the family during the summer. We wanted to make more items accessible for our shoppers and ease the stress when it comes to doing the weekly shop by giving unbeatable value on some of the nation’s favourite fridge and freezer fillers.”

Iceland sold vegetables for 1p in December.
