London estate agent takes hassle out of Airbnb hosting

Written by:
London estate agent Portico has launched a rental management service for Airbnb hosts who don’t have the time or knowledge to list their property.

The service, called Portico Host, will set up the property listing, manage the property, and deal with bookings and guest communication and vetting.

The estate agent charges 15% + VAT for the service, after Airbnb takes its 3% charge.

The service is for hosts with properties in London and Essex.

A number of Airbnb management companies have popped up in recent years as the popularity of the property rental site has soared.

There are currently 31,400 London hosts using Airbnb and 100 million users worldwide.

My Property Host, for example, will manage your Airbnb listing for 19% of the total booking fee plus the cleaning fee. It operates in London, zones 1-3 only.

Airsorted, another Airbnb management service operating in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, charges from 12% plus VAT.

Pass The Keys, operates in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin, and also charges a minimum of 12% plus VAT.
