Reza Attar-Zadeh, head of customer value proposition at Santander, said: “It’s fantastic to hear that we’ve won a number of awards for our great products once again at the Awards, recognising not only the great products we offer but also the service customers receive in branch when opening them. And, winning Best Online Student Banking Provider really demonstrates the positive steps we’ve taken to make our student account more digital; helping us meet the needs of this particular group of customers.”

Other big winners on the night included Post Office Money with won four awards, and Lloyds Bank, with three.

Joanna Faith, editor of, said: “All our winners deserve a big congratulations. This year’s awards were our biggest yet with two new categories and a record number of entries.   Santander and Virgin Money should be particularly applauded for sweeping the board with five awards each. Well done.”
