American Express (Amex) Gold cardholders can net 20% cashback when dining at any of 1,000-plus restaurants, with no limit on the number of times the offer can be used between now and May.

Accepted new and existing cardmembers can dine at the likes of GBK, Carluccio’s, Gaucho and more, where they’ll earn 20% cashback.

The offer’s on until 19 May and you can see the full list of participating eateries here.

Amex confirms there’s no limit on how often the offer can be used, either overall or at each of the locations, with no minimum or maximum spend per transaction.

The 20% cashback is up on the usual 10% offer that Amex has run in the past.

But to make sure you get it, Gold cardmembers need to save the offer to their card via the Amex app or online at Amex.

Anyone signing up to the Gold credit card (representative 88.8% APR variable) will also receive 20,000 membership points when spending £3,000 in the first three months. That’s the equivalent of a £100 gift card.

The Amex Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card is free for the first year, but then has an annual fee of £195.

If you’re not a Gold cardholder, you can still get cashback. Platinum, Amex Cashback, Amex Cashback Everyday, and select business cardmembers continue to earn 10% back.

Ricky Bonham, vice president at Amex, said: “We know our Amex Gold cardmembers want to get the most out of their spending, and particularly enjoy eating out with friends and family, so we believe our latest offer will be particularly compelling.

“With over 1,000 restaurant locations to choose from, and a chunky 20% discount to be had, our cardmembers will be able to benefit from enhanced savings when they dine out.”
