Customers can now buy a limited selection of products online, including clothing and footwear. However, beauty and homeware products are not yet ready to sell but will be available in the coming days, and delivery and click and collect services to Northern Ireland will take weeks to resume.
Shares in M&S rose over 3% in morning trading.
Offer ‘will improve every day’
M&S said in a statement that the number of items it will offer online will improve every day. At present, online standard delivery to England, Scotland and Wales is available. For now, Click & Collect, Next Day delivery and Nominated day delivery and international ordering are unavailable.
M&S said it would reinstate these services “as soon as possible”.
Customers cannot return their online orders in a store, but can return them for free via post or home collection.

Attack has cost ‘hundreds of millions’
Experts have tried to estimate the cost to M&S of the crippling cyber attack that resulted in customers’ personal data being stolen.
Mark Crouch, market analyst for eToro, said the costs are expected to “run into the hundreds of millions”, while the reputational damage will be harder to measure.
The shares are down 4.4% since January.
