As part of YourMoney.com‘s fresh supermarket price guide, we’ve rounded up the leading deals and special offers available in stores, online and in retailers’ cafes.
Morrison’s got into the Easter spirit by offering the chance to enjoy two free Warburtons crumpets until 14 April in all of its nationwide coffees. While the offer is to assist families while school closes during the Easter break, both adults and children can have two toasted crumpets with butter and jam.
To grab the toasted treat, you’ll need to speak to a café staff member and “ask for Ellen”– in honour of Warburton’s founder Ellen Warburton. Kids can keep themselves entertained too, with the free colouring activity sheets provided as part of the deal.
Kids eat for £1 offer extended
Another supermarket extending a previous offer to assist families during the school break is Asda.
The retailer will run its ‘kids eat for £1’ deal every day, all year round, in its 205 cafes as opposed to just during the school holidays. There is no minimum spend to take the offer and children under 16 are applicable.

The menu includes:
- Penne pasta and meatballs
- Vegan hidden veg pasta meal
- Fish fingers
- Chicken nuggets
- All-day breakfast
Further, children will also receive a free choice of taking an apple, pear or banana with the deal. An alternative of sandwich, drink and piece of fruit is also available instead of the hot meal.
Sainsbury’s is also running a similar offer, where children can get a choice of a hot meal or lunch bag for just £1 alongside the purchase of an adult meal.
The cheapest adult meal is a margherita pizza, priced at £5.20, and the children’s meal can be either chicken nuggets, cheese and tomato pizza, fish fingers or sausages.
Sainsbury’s chops seasonal favourites in half
As well as cheap meals for kids, the retailer offers options for the adults in the kitchen to enjoy over Easter.
A whole leg of lamb is 50% off and costs £6.50 per kilogram until 2 April. There are also offers to help cook up a feast if you hold a Nectar card.
Customers with a loyalty card can take home seasonable vegetables for only 15p and get 50% off ‘centrepiece favourites’ like Sainsbury’s own label beef joint, ‘Taste the Difference’ branded gammon and ‘Taste the Difference’ pork.
Ocado completes the leading offers from supermarkets to assist you in cooking up a storm over the Easter holidays.
The online retailer has launched its self-proclaimed biggest ever ‘Best of British’ range on its website, which includes over 800 products such as fresh fruit, eggs, dairy produce, vegetables and meat.
Tesco goes big on toys and sun protection
Not only does it have its own branded products, but products from other brands including Marks and Spencer are also on offer too. A Marks and Spencer rotisserie chicken is priced at £9, while a pack of eight sausages comes to £4.25.
Elsewhere, Tesco has launched a sale on a wide range of 70 kids toys suitable for indoor and outdoor use, whether in pre-school or nursery.
The reductions will run until 14 April and apply to toys in the categories: creative, action, dolls and vehicles.
