Now in their 26th year, winning a product category at the YourMoney.com Awards is no mean feat.
Each year, we receive hundreds of submissions from financial firms all vying to win the coveted awards. Products are vigorously tried and tested by a panel of mystery shoppers – our very own YourMoney.com readers.
Only firms offering the best customer service as well as innovative products and services at affordable prices make it through to the top.
This year, we’re proud to list some familiar high-street stalwarts, as well as smaller and enterprising firms which have made the cut for the first time.
We offer a big congratulations to NatWest, which has this year scooped three awards, including holding onto the Best Current Account Provider for five years in a row. It also cements its outstanding achievement, as NatWest has won at least one award every year since the YourMoney.com Awards launched in 1998.
TSB and Post Office have also picked up two awards each this year, while we give a warm welcome to first-time winners Shepherds Friendly, Holiday Extras and Uinsure.
On the investment side, Aviva Wealth came away with two awards, while Virgin Money won Best Investment ISA – Small Portfolio for the third consecutive year.
Meanwhile, praise goes to Start Rescue, which has knocked Green Flag off its perch, having held the title of Best Breakdown Cover Provider for nine consecutive years.
This just goes to show that any firm – big or small – can win if you provide outstanding customer service, appealing products and cater for Brits on a budget.
Meanwhile, Novuna Personal Finance has held onto the trophy for Best Personal Loan Provider for a third year in a row, though it’s also held the top spot for the past 10 years when it was earlier known as Hitachi Personal Finance.
Elsewhere, Beagle Street has triumphed yet again. Our readers named it the Best Life Insurance Provider for a second time, with consumers rating it the best in this category five times in total.
And praise goes to Nutmeg which has retained the title of Best Investment Platform for user experience.
